Flower Shop in Takadanobaba
このフラワーショップは東京のＪＲ山手線と西武鉄道の高田馬場駅の乗換え改札口の正面にあります。毎日何十万の人がこのお店の前を通ります。移動可能な「催事場」として軽く、不特定多数の人々が怪我をしないように柔らかく、酔っ払いからお花や商品を守るために丈夫なものが求められました。
また、お花と共にショップカラーの赤を基調とした店舗全体がひとつの華として、モノトーンの駅空間に活気を与え、通り過ぎる人々が元気に、そして和やかな気分になってくれるような場所つくりを心がけました。

This flower shop is located on a connection bridge between two major train stations in downtown Tokyo. The client asked us to design a partition screen system which has to be a light enough for the shop clerk to move, safe enough for millions travelers, and strong enough to protect the flowers in off-hours. So we provided a plastic, fabric and a light steel tube as materials and we tried to create a cheerful and peaceful character for the shop and the surrounding by combining the beautiful flowers and the bright red screens.
